Sample trials and acceptance testing before buying a laser machine
Define representative samples, measurable criteria, complete cycles and delivery scope before committing to a laser system.
A good-looking demonstration sample does not establish that the same result will be achieved in your production. A structured trial turns the sales discussion into an application assessment. The objective is to understand repeatable operating conditions rather than simply approve one impressive component.
Include difficult as well as routine samples
Provide a normal daily production part and a challenging geometry or surface that appears regularly in your work. Record material grade, coating, dimensions and drawing revision. Avoid basing the entire decision on a supplier's demonstration component. If your own sample cannot be used, document that limitation clearly.
Define success before the trial
Marking criteria may include text readability, position, appearance and code reading where required. Cutting criteria may cover dimensions, edge condition and readiness for the next operation. Take numerical tolerances from your engineering requirements rather than inventing a universal value. Agree on inspection instruments and methods before assessing the result.
Observe repeated complete cycles
Record results across an agreed trial batch. Separate preparation, loading, processing, inspection and unloading times to expose bottlenecks. Compare the first and last pieces. Log manual interventions and reasons for rework. Choose the trial quantity together according to component cost and application risk rather than treating one sample count as appropriate for every project.
Match the trial configuration to the quotation
The laser source, optics, working area, fixtures, software and auxiliary equipment used in the demonstration should be recorded. If they differ from the proposed system, the result cannot simply be transferred without further assessment. Clarify whether special accessories, data import or automation are included or optional.
Plan delivery and commissioning checks
- Installation space and utility requirements.
- Protective equipment, operating instructions and necessary extraction.
- Operator training, backups and handover of approved files.
- Warranty, technical support and acceptance-test scope.
Bring these items together in a pre-delivery checklist. Review BİEM LASER products and share your samples and production targets. Ask for test conditions and quotation scope to be evaluated together, and distinguish a proposed trial from an already verified production result.
Let's evaluate your application together.
By sharing your material and part information, you can see the right system selection.
